Mark Twain and Olivia

Mark Twain, the father of western literature, refused to love but won the lover Olivia. Twain and Olivia were together for a full time in 1868, but Olivia Twain returned her marriage proposal for the first time. Olivia was the daughter of a wealthy and progressive family. Twain couple lives in Buffalo, New York from 1869 to 1871. Twain's couple had three daughters-in-law: Susie Clemens (1872-1896), Clara Clements (1874-1962) and Gene Clemens (1880-1909).

After spending 34 years together, Olivia died in 1904.

John Keats and Fanny Brawne
