Simple sentence (সরল বাক্য): যে sentence এ একটি মাত্র subject ও একটি মাত্র Finite verb থাকে তাকে simple sentence বলে।
Example: The boys play football.
Complex sentence (জটিল বাক্য): যে sentence এ একটি principal Clause এবং এক বা একাধিক subordinate clause/dependent clause থাকে তাকে complex sentence বলে।
Subordinate clause এর শুরুতে if/ though /although/as/because/ so that/ that/ until/ till/ unless/ when/ why/ who/ which/ where/ how/before/ after/ whether/ while বসে।
Example: Although he is rich, he is honest.
Compound sentence (যৌগিক বাক্য): যদি কোন sentence এ একাধিক principal Clause and, or, yet, and so, therefore, etc. co-coordinating conjunction দ্বারা যুক্ত হয় তাকে compound sentence বলে।
Example: He is rich but he is honest.

👉Present participle যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. প্রথমে since/as/when বসে। কারণ বুঝালে Since বা As. সময় বুঝালে When বসে।
2. দ্বিতীয় অংশের subject বসে।
3. দ্বিতীয় অংশের Tense অনুযায়ী প্রথম অংশের Tense হয়।
4. দ্বিতীয় অংশের subject বসে। 5. কমা অপরিবর্তিত থাকে।
Simple: closing the door, I went back to work.
Complex: When I closed the door, I went to work.
Complex: When I closed the door, I went to work.
👉Being/V1+ing যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. প্রথমে since/as/when বসে।
2. Being যুক্ত sentence এ subject না থাকলে একই subject দুটি sentence এ বসে।
3. দ্বিতীয় অংশের tense অনুযায়ী প্রথম অংশের tense হয়।
4. Sentence এর মাঝে কমা বসে।

👉Too + adjective+ to যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1.প্রথমে Subject ও Verb বসে।
2. Too এর পরিবর্তে so বসে এবং to এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।
3. To এর পরিবর্তে that বসে ও ও পুনরায় subject বসে।
4. Tense অনুসারে cannot /could not বসে।
5. To এর পরবর্তী অংশ বসে।
2. Too এর পরিবর্তে so বসে এবং to এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসে।
3. To এর পরিবর্তে that বসে ও ও পুনরায় subject বসে।
4. Tense অনুসারে cannot /could not বসে।
5. To এর পরবর্তী অংশ বসে।
Simple: He is too weak to walk.
Complex: He is so weak that he cannot walk.

👉উদ্দেশ্যমূলক simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. প্রথমে subject ও verb বসে।

👉In spite of/Despite simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. In spite of/despite এর পরিবর্তে though/although বসে।
2. Possessive case এর subjective form বসে।
3. দ্বিতীয় অংশের tense অনুসারে প্রথম অংশের Tense বসে।
4. দ্বিতীয় subject এর পূর্বে কমা বসে।
Simple: In spite of his being healthy, he is lazy.

👉Because of যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. Because of এর পরিবর্তে Since/As বসে।

4. দুটি sentence এর মাঝে কমা বসে।

👉Subject+ verb+ Object+ present participle যুক্ত simple sentence কে complex sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. প্রথমে subject + verb + Object বসে।
2. Object এর relative pronoun বসে।
3. Tense ও noun অনুযায়ী be verb বসে।
4. Present participle সহ বাকি অংশ বসে।
Simple: I saw a bird flying.
Complex: I saw a bird which/that was flying.

Note: তবে pronominal Object (me, us, you, him, them, her) থাকলে নিয়মটি হবে নিম্নরূপ ।
1. Subject + verb+ that/when বসে।
2. Object টির subjective form বসে।
3. Tense অনুসারে be verb বসে।
4. Present participle সহ বাকি অংশ বসে।

👉Present participle যুক্ত simple sentence কে compound sentence পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।

3. কমা এর পরিবর্তে and বসে।

Note: In spite of/despite এর পরে যদি cold, fog, rough, weather, ing যুক্ত impersonal verb থাকলে তবে structure হবে নিম্নরূপ।
1. In spite of despite উঠে গিয়ে it বসে।
2. দ্বিতীয় অংশের Tense অনুসারে tense হবে।
3. কমা উঠে but বসে।

👉Without+ Gerund যুক্ত simple sentence কে compound sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. without উঠে যায়।
2. ING যুক্ত verb এর V1 form বসে।
3. কমা এর পরিবর্তে or বসে।

Simple: Without going, you will die.

👉Since/as/when যুক্ত complex sentence এর উভয় অংশের subject এক হলে এবং উভয় অংশে মূল verb থাকলে তাকে simple করার নিয়ম।
1. Since as when উঠে যায়।
2. মূল verb এর সাথে ING যোগ করতে হয়।
3. দ্বিতীয় অংশের subject এর স্থনে প্রথম অংশের subject বসে।
4. দ্বিতীয় clause এর পূর্বে কমা বসে।

👉দুটি clause এর subject ভিন্ন হলে এবং প্রথম clause টিতে auxiliary verb থাকলে তাকে simple sentence করার নিয়ম।

3. পরবর্তী অংশের মূল verb এর সাথে ING যোগ করতে হয়।
4. বাকি অংশ বসে।

👉When যুক্ত সময় নির্দেশক complex sentence কে simple sentence এ পরিবর্তন করার নিয়ম।
1. When উঠে যায় + When এর পরে যে subject (it) ও verb থাকে তা উঠে যায়।
2. কম সময় থাকলে at in বসে।
3. ঋতু থাকলে তার পূর্বে in বসে।
4. বয়সের উল্লেখ থাকলে তার পূর্বে at the age of বসে।
Complex: When it was daylight, I was half awakened by the sound of chipping.
Simple: At daylight, I was half awakened by the sound of chopping.

Note: তবে when দ্বারা কোন সময় না বুঝিয়ে কাজ চলা বুঝালে তখন At the time of when যুক্ত অংশের ING verb টি + বাকি Clause টি বসে।

Note: when যুক্ত অংশে কোন Personal subject এর উল্লেখ থাকলে উক্ত Subject এর Possessive রূপ বসে।
